Run Run Sunrise adds to HKJC winners tally

Run Run Sunrise breezes as an unraced 2-year-old.

Run Run Sunrise became the latest Baystone Farm graduate to open up his Hong Kong winning account when landing a 1000m sprint down the standside rail of the Sha Tin straight track at just his third race start for trainer Frankie Lor.

Ridden to victory by Derek Leung, Run Run Sunrise was produced late in the contest to score by half a length, having finished runner-up at his only previous outing so far in 2026.

A son of Capitalist produced by the Uncle Mo (USA) mare Sister Sledge, Run Run Sunrise was a 2024 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale purchase. He was then subsequently prepared for the Inglis Ready2Race Sale latter that same year but was passed-in with a reserve of $280,000.

Run Run Sunrise continued the winning run of Hong Kong raced gallopers to have come through ‘The Baystone Way’. In very recent time, Glaciated and Beauty Missile saluted at Sha Tin and Happy Valley respectively, while other very notable graduates include Invincible Shield and Call Me Glorious.

The Sha Tin win of Run Run Sunrise on Sunday afternoon came 24 hours after Verdoux posted his second consecutive win—in Baystone Farm colours—on a major Melbourne Saturday program.

Two weeks after winning first-up over 1100m at Caulfield, Verdoux won over the same distance down the straight at Flemington, defeating $1.70 favourite She’s An Artist in the VRC Herald Sun Plate.

Verdoux has now recorded four wins and five placings from just 10 career starts after being purchased as an Inglis Sydney Classic Yearling by Baystone Farm. The son of Trapeze Artist also came through our production line having being prepared for our 2022 Inglis Ready2Race draft.
