Two new HKJC winners for Baystone Farm
Beauty Missile was a New Year winner at Sha Tin
Australian exports Glaciated and Beauty Missile joined the growing list of Hong Kong Jockey Club winners to have been sourced through Baystone Farm’s ready-to-race program when scoring at Sha Tin and Happy Valley respectively in recent weeks.
A relative newcomer to the HKJC racing scene, Glaciated broke through for his maiden success close to Christmas when winning over 1200 metres under star French visiting jockey Maxime Guyon.
Glaciated is trained by Pierre Ng and has been sparingly raced since making his Hong Kong debut in March 2025. Purchased by Baystone Farm from Newhaven Park at the 2023 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale, the son of Frosted (USA) was a six lengths Deagon trial winner in September 2024 before being sold to continue his racing career in Hong Kong.
Not long after Glaciated’s breakthrough victory, Beauty Missile saluted early in the New Year, winning an 1800-metre contest at Happy Valley for trainer Brett Crawford and jockey Hugh Bowman.
A 6-year-old son of Smart Missile, Beauty Missile was purchased by Baystone Farm at the 2021 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale and had one start in Australia as Alcedo which saw him finish runner-up in the Listed ANZAC Day Stakes at Flemington, beaten just three-quarters of a length.
Glaciated and Beauty Missile are the latest Baystone Farm alumni to prove successful in Hong Kong, joining the likes of Call Me Glorious, Invincible Shield and Fantastic Treasure (2020/21 Hong Kong Champion Griffin).
